Nick Suzuki was selected in the first round in the 2017 NHL Draft by the Vegas Golden Knights and was later traded to the Montreal Canadiens. At the end of his first full NHL season, Suzuki was named to the 2019-20 All-Rookie Team and became the ninth-youngest skater to record 100 points with Montreal. Although Montreal failed to reach the 2022 Stanley Cup playoffs, Suzuki set career highs and his 209 consecutive games gave him the seventh-longest iron man streak among active players. In 2022, Suzuki became the youngest captain in team history. In the 2023-24 season Suzuki led the team in points, received his third consecutive Molson Cup, made the All-Star team for the third consecutive year, and was the Canadiens' nominee for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy for his charitable efforts.
