Ken was a student of the Shotokan school of karate, along side of Ryu. Ken has a amazing fighting spirit, but an even larger ego. After becoming the US martial arts champion Ken quickly became bored and sought out his friend and rival Ryu, the only man that could offer Ken a real challenge.
