Laugh it Up, FigureRealm! Custom Contest

Hey pal, you laughin' at me?
Well GOOD, because that's what this contest is all about!
That's right, live on stage at The Improv, we're bringing you a contest of a thousand laughs! We're talkin' the comedians, the pranksters, the class clowns, the wise-crackers, and the fools! Joker and Deadpool are the leading acts (and totally acceptable entries), but every funny man knows comedy is all about subverting expectations! So if you're looking for a little more variety, try your hand at Sokka, Fozzie, Plastic Man, Disney's Genie, Mike Wazowski, The Comedian, Loki, Pinkie Pie, Freakazoid, Bozo, Bugs Bunny, Star Trek's Q, or maybe even make a custom figure of your favorite comedian from real life!
And hey, when you think about it, ANYONE can be funny SOMETIMES! That's why we're also featuring our amateur open mike!! If you want to bring some more serious, somber, sourpuss sorts into the contest, go right ahead . . . so long as they're portrayed in the most absurd, laugh-worthy scenario you can think of! Remember when Adam West Batman grabbed his yellow swim trunks and surf board and hit the beach? How about Professor Snape in a "riddikulus" dress and feathered hat? NECA makes some great Dutch figures from "Predator," but has anyone ever used one to make a "Junior" pregnant Arnold Schwarzenegger custom? And didn't Cloud Strife have to infiltrate an enemy base disguised as a call girl?
Just remember, this contest isn't specifically about CLOWNS. It's about FUNNY. Plenty of creepy clowns out there that WILL NOT get past the doorman. If they wanna make the cut, they gotta leave us in stitches!
So step up to the mike, prep your A material, and see if you can bring the house down!

What are the rules of the contest?
- Please use the form here to submit your custom figure.
- At least a paragraph description is required with your entry. This paragraph, at a minimum, should answer the following questions:
- How was this custom customized?
- How does the custom fit into the contest theme?
- You may submit up to three different entries for the contest.
- Please only submit figures that were created for this contest. Do not submit old figures from the Showcase or previous contest entries.
- Your entry should not be posted on this website, any other website, or anywhere on the internet until the contest is completely over.
- The pictures for your entry will remain hidden until the contest ends and the voting begins.
- Your identity will remain hidden until after the voting completes.
- Do not include names, logos, signatures or anything on the pictures that will give you away as the creator of the custom. We want to keep the customizer's identity a secret until the contest is over.
- Don't wait until the last day to submit your entries. If your internet is down, or something happens beyond your control, you will miss the contest! Also keep in mind how many customs you can submit in one day. You may not be able to submit all your entries in one day.
- The contest is purely for fun... well... and bragging rights!
How does the contest voting work?
Anyone can vote for their favorite customs in the contest, you don't even have to submit anything to the contest! You do have to be logged-in to your Figure Realm account though so we can keep track of the votes. Only appointed Figure Realm staff can see the votes, so anonymity is guaranteed. Voting begins once the entry deadline is met and lasts for a week.
It's hard to choose just one custom to vote on when there are tons of great entries, so Figure Realm has a unique voting system where you can vote on ALL the customs! When you click on an entry to view, there's a bar with buttons on it that lets you give the custom anywhere from 1 to 5 Stars. 1 Star means you think they could have done a better job on the custom while 5 Stars means you think they did a perfect job. The votes for each entry are added up when voting is closed and averaged-out to determine the winners. Also, don't abuse the system. Don't give your own custom 5 Stars and then give everyone else 1 Star to boost your rating. Remember, the votes are monitored.
Some points you might consider when casting your vote: Is the figure well-made? Is the paint smooth or crusty? Are there noticeable fingerprints on the sculpted parts? Is it an original custom? Is it accurate to the source-material (comics, photos, description in a book)? Are the pictures clear enough to see the details? Did the creator take the time to include a back-story or recipe? Is the custom so unbelievably awesome that you'd trade your dog for it?
Craftsmanship and creativity are major factors to consider, but ultimately your vote should depend on how much you like the custom, and how well you feel it fits the contest theme.

. . . Yyyyyyeeeah, I think that's fair game. He's sufficiently over the top in appearance and depiction. Good question!
Hmm, how about characters turned into humoristic versions? Like they have a new job/hobby/mission as I did with the Punisher http://www.figurerealm.com/customfigure ... w&id=89975 and Deadpool http://www.figurerealm.com/customfigure ... &id=89974?
A case in point from the examples you provided: Carnage is usually written as a psychopath who revels in murder. Whether or not he says something funny, his goal is entertaining himself, and most outside viewers either find him cool and maybe mildly funny, or sick and twisted and evil. And his writers typically fully intend him to be more villain than vaudevillian. So not so much with Carnage.
Lobo, on the other hand, while also violent and sadistic, is so over the top and snarky that he pushes the characterization out of villainy and into satire and absurdity. He's more a caricature of a biker thug than an actual thug, and the writers are deliberately trying to get laughs out of the readers. Even his violence is often done in a way that evokes laughter rather than shock. Note that when DC recently tried to "badass up" the character a few years back, it failed miserably. Without the intentional ridiculous extremes of the character, he's just an indestructible space biker thug. Cool, but not really fun. So classic Lobo would be totally fine.
A more direct side-by-side comparison: TMNT. Raphael is notoriously the team snarker. He's witty, sarcastic, likes to talk, likes to mock . . . and he's a bruiser, a scrapper, and always angry. He's covering for his insecurities by lashing out with words as well as violence. Is he funny? Sure. But Michelangelo, he's a goofball, a clown, a cloudcuckcoolander, and he just wants to have fun and wants everyone to be happy and have a good time. Comedy is his goal, not a cover for his goal. And maybe you or I don't personally find him funny, but he (or his writer) is clearly trying to be.
Basically, bullies and @$$holes take themselves too seriously. We're looking for the characters who don't. Or, as the second alternative notes, characters stuck in situations where they CANNOT be taken seriously.
But sometimes it's a pretty useful trait.
And other times, people just kinda wish I would
