Jaylah, the alien woman Scotty encounters on Altamid, is based on the character that Jennifer Lawrence played in the film Winter’s Bone. Her name itself is a play on “JLaw” Lawrence’s nickname in the media. Jaylah has been exiled on Altamid since she and her father crashed there when she was a girl. It was her resourcefulness and strength that kept her alive, and she made her home out of the downed USS Franklin, which becomes the Enterprise crew’s salvation.

The figure is a kitbash and was completed in November 2018.
