This was a tricky custom, I bought a bootleg Mezco Miles Morales Spider-Man an off of Aliexpress. At first I thought it’ll be easy; “repaint the hands and head and make a new costume”, I thought. It wasn’t that simple, the bootleg had single jointed arms and I wanted double jointed arms. So I took them left over arms from my custom Marcos Martin Spiderman figure. Used Apoxsee sculpt and super glue to attach them to the Mezco figure after I made a makeshift bicep swivel. I cut the original bootle Miles Morales figure at the forearm so I could have that Mezco wrist joint and attached it to the new arms at the forearm. Then I repainted the head and hands and made a costume for it. Not my best sewing and hot gluing but serviceable. I think it works really well, and I hope you enjoy it. Update: I’ve used twistieties in place of a new joint; enjoy this guy while he’s still around, I’m taking him a part and making a version 2 in a little while. Please wait... |

I don't think it's ideal sewing & by hand, nor am I skilled in as much as I'm terrible,
I've been doing some research on cloth/soft good options,as ways to complete certain figures recently,& in the interest of attempting that which you've made!
I've ideas in things to eventually try, but I need to see what all I can find in doing One:12 customs. Not just ideas & tips listed online in regards to the figures, but in materials & existing pre-made items that would make this work, or simplify the process of such a difficult job.
If you are interested I'll help you in bouncing ideas or whatever if interested. I've done much worse in attempting to use a small stuffed Spiderman on an old Mego body. And I had to do everything by hand, & it was a horrible pain in the ass. It never looked quite right, but I was able to work out what went wrong & learned from it
Again,I say well done, especially considering what you had on hand. And Congratulations in it turning our great considering as such!
