More vintage Star Wars customs, these were made long ago before Star Wars made a comeback. With the Rebel Trooper, I as a young child used to use my Death Squad Commanders for Rebel troops, since they never made a figure of them. I decided years later to make the Rebel Trooper using the vintage Death Squad Commander. I made the vest myself with my limited sewing capabilities. The helmet has pieces of styrene plastic added to enlarge the it as seen in the film. I used a loaf bread twist tie for the chin strap, and gave the figure a repaint. He was painted with enamels, as I had not yet discovered the wonderful world of acrylics. Voila!
