I love Famke Janssen as an actress, and I am not a hater of Xmen The Last Stand. I love the look of Jean in the film and was excited when a figure was getting released. Well, the figure was kind of ugly with that flaring dress, the wrong color clothes, and the awful likeness to Famke, so I decided to fix her up. I separated the torso from the waist so I could work on the dress. I trimmed the flowing plastic robes off, keeping only the waste piece. I cut eight strips of cloth and taped them on to the actual figure waste, then reassembled the figure. I used the head of a Jean Grey figure made by Toybiz for the first Xmen movie, as I think that looks more like Famke than the one that came with the Xmen 3 figure. I dremeled the hair off and then carefully cut the front one-third of the head off (her face). On the X3 base figure, I removed the hair and cut the face off. I glued the new face onto the figure and painted her face, neck, and hands. I then glued the hair back in place. A quick repaint later, and my X3 figure looks more like what should have been released to start with.
