Here is my 12 inch custom figure of The Baroness as she appeared in the early issues of Marvel Comics GI JOE. This costume was also used in the very first cartoon mini-series, The M.A.S.S. Device. The Baroness existed in this form before Hasbro ever made an action figure of her, and their version of course was the black armor outfit. This early design for The Baroness has never been made into an action figure, so I decided to take a stab at it since I always liked this look. I used a 12 inch female action figure for the base. Sorry, I don't remember the brand name. I found a head sculpt I liked and bought it, as well as the boots, gloves, glasses, and blue jump suit. I ordered some round glasses, but they did not look right. I tried altering them and it just wouldn't work, so I opted for the ones seen in the pictures instead. I bought yellow cloth from Hobby Lobby and cut out the shoulder pieces, the belt, the striping, and the neck piece. I glued black wire to the yellow pieces to create the grid surface, and touched up the black wire where the glue discolored it. It was a messy task that ended with lots of Gorilla Glue stuck to my fingers! Luckily, soap and warm water gets rid of that! That was pretty much it!
