I always wanted screen accurate figures of the old Batman films of the 1990s, and most often Kenner didn't deliver. I like the old 5 inch scale as it remains in line with the vehicles Kenner made. To make Batman in his new armored suit, I used a Batman Returns Candy dispenser for the front torso, grafted on to a Batman Forever Robin figure. The upper chest was a Batman Forever Batman piece that was sanded down and made to fit. I don't remember what figure I cut the bat emblem from. I used epoxy to smooth out the legs to look more like the on screen costume. The head, utility belt, and shin guards came from a World of Batman figure, which were repaints of old Kenner figures with slight changes. The cape came from a Batman & Robin 2 pack featuring a silver Batman and a vine covered Bane. I cut the cape at the neck area and filled in the neck of the cowl with Sculpy to blend it. The programmable Batarang was made from a Toybiz Batman accessory, cut down and covered with epoxy. I drew the screen and colored it with colored pencils, then glued it on. Shown here posed with Kenner's beautiful Batmobile toy! Please check out my other Batman movie custom figures! Please wait... |
