Finally got around to posting some of these!

Custom 1:18th Blob that I've been working on for quite a while now. This will be a long post so feel free to skip the detailed write-up below with some sweet sweet TL;DR.

TL;DR I have a sliiiiiiight sculpting addiction so I waste my time on unnecessary detailing. Oh also, I turned this Hulk into Blob.

Breakdown:

I built this beast purely on an Armored Hulk figure (I'm too poor to kitbash figures tbh) that I modified with some added articulation on the wrists and a bit of correction on his proportions. Sanded down his big armored boots to make the feet look smaller too, then sculpted everything over, including the hands, with Aves Apoxie and some Procreate.

I wanted to do something with his boring suit so I added some more sculptwork to the yellow parts to give it some depth and a bit of realism (I know I know, I love comic book characters but I dislike their cling-wrap suits).

Sculpted the cocky-as-fudge smiling alt head from scratch, made a cast of it, then modified the cast into the angry screaming head for a bit of variance.

Sculpted him up an alternate open right hand using a bit of armature wire as base and some ProCreate to make simulate the flexibilty and toughness of actual action figure rubber. Added some magnets to it and into his wrist hinge for easy swapping with his fisted hand.

I wanted to give him some accessories but he doesn't really need it, but I secretly hate myself so I ended up making him a big-ass burger and a hoagie because he's fat and I relate to him intimately.

Moving on before this post gets all weird and personal! I finished him up with some Vallejo Model and Game Color Acrylics, sealed it up with a flat lacquer spraypaint , then painted over the eyes and teeth with some Vallejo gloss for some added depth.

I REALLLLYYYY wanted to make him look disgusting with some sweatmarks, food stains, and more grossness but I ended up deciding not to because, you know, ew.

This has been a fun project, although I'm not quite satisfied with how he turned out. Maybe I'll make him bigger and fatter whenever I decide to make another, eh?
