Uruk crossbow men genuinely work better than the battle cry urukhai, I did the same thing years ago coz they are so huge compared to the one that’s supposed to be the soldier and they do make their armour too shiny when it’s suposed to be dark silver or gunmetal. Can see the work you put into them nicely done!

Thanks, yes, I have two battle cry figures, but like these better, though they are way easier to come by.

You'd think crossbow uruks would be the smaller ones, beserkers are supposed to be the strongest most savage ones and then I'd imagine footsoldiers etc, but ah well. It's always nice to see a resurgence of middle earth customs and interest here as its not as mainstream and many of us are so passionate about Tolkien's works and the adaptations, so even if it is a few years or many years after it inspires others to do more or regain interest, plus with things like Orcs and armies of middle earth theres less an emphasis on uniform armies, by which I mean with star wars you can have hundreds of stormtroopers and it looks impressive, but with LOTR its cooler to have a variety of orcs and with Rohirrim and Gondor Soldiers they look better if they arent al the same faced person as thats more realistic. Something which the Battle of the Five armies struggles wit ha bit when it comes to hundreds of CGI Elf infantry. One would hope there is some randomness to each ones face and hair colour etc but now I'm just ranting lol. I need to get back into customising with clay and specifically tolkien stuff but I tend to dither between projects or get sucked into one big one lol
