I've been wanting to make this figure for YEARS. We did get an official toy of Excalibur Sonic from Jazwares, but only in the 5 inch scale, I always wanted one in the 3 inch scale but I never got around to it until now. It started out as a busted old Black Knight Sonic (the one with the gauntlet) I found on the dealers floor at Big Apple comic con a couple years ago. I fixed up his joints to get him presentable as a Sonic figure, but that was only a stepping stone on the path to golden glory. The armor on the body is hand sculpted out of apoxie, with a rubber hip cape and craft foam shoulder pads. The shoes and head are 3D printed based off the game models, though I did have to do some touch ups since such intricate shapes have a hard time coming out totally smooth. Excalibur itself has a 3D printed blade, though the hilt is mostly hand sculpted, and the handle itself is cut from an actual toy sword for ease of grip.
