For my 300th submission I thought I'd go with another quirky one. Around Christmas last year a few of my friends came round for a house party and inevitably while having the grand tour spotted all of the figures in the spare room. They were amazed at the sheer volume and that this is what I did all day in my spare time. Jokingly one of them said I should do the cake toppers for their Civil Ceremony. A few weeks later I was approached again and asked if I would consider it in all seriousness. I was a bit unsure at first about doing it as I'd only ever done superheroes before but agreed to give it a bash. About 2 weeks before the even I was shown the suits and given the details etc. I spent a fortnight tweaking and painting and fiddling to get them half decent. They went down a storm on the day and loads of people have asked me to do some them since so it's a nifty lil side business I can start now lol. Anyway, I've been asked by tem to pop them up on this site so here you go.
Bodies are Prof X - Steve uses Movie Blackheart as the base head and Paul uses a SOTA KEn head. The jackets were trimmed and the chest resculpted. These shots were taken after a days worth of people having a good old play on em so need to touch the joints up from wear. Naff or unique you decide lol

Haha, well the mother of one of the Grooms actually asked if I was doing a set with capes and tights but I told her what happened under their roof stayed under their roof
I can imagine the look on everyones face now when they see a blue chick and a 60 year old in a leotard on top of the icing lol

Awww too cute.
Don't think my Civil Partner would have gone for that, but wish I'd thought of it at the time. There could be a total gap in the market there! I bet every CP ceremony wants the grooms as super-heroes on the cake!

I suggest Mystique and Destiny cake toppers. It'd be a fitting tribute to the X-Universe's fist same sex couple.

I think if I ever do tie the know now I should have every right for my own Polaris and Havok cake topper, especially with the other half already planning the venue lol

So cute, but if I do ever find someone sorry enough to commit to me I'd still rather some of your X-Men to top my cake!

Cake topper = plastic figure that sits on top of a wedding cake, usually bride and groom.
Civil Ceremony = Two guys gettin hitched.
Believe me they made little sense to me making them lol.
Thanks for the comment too doc, wasn't sure if something like this was a lil too obscure
