This was one I had planned about a year ago but only recently got around to completing it. I started with the head. I had a Primal Rage red ape figure that was pretty busted up. I used its head and a set of antlers I shaved and cut down that I think I picked up from a Christmas aisle at a home decor store. I used hot glue to provide hair and flesh details on the head and "mouth". I then used the Marvel Legends Sasquatch build a figure body and limbs, locked the waist joint, and used two closed fists for the hands. I used hot glue to alter the flesh and fingers so that he walks on his "knuckles". I then removed the original feet and sliced off about a centimeter from each leg. I then used elephant feet for the back feet. Cardboard was used to create the spines on its back. When all was complete, he got a brand new paint job.

It was fun, but there are several different concept art pieces and models I had to use which had subtle variations in their design. Since he is only in the movie for short scenes, this made it difficult as well. I am satisfied with the end result and it goes nicely with the Japanese Bandai Godzilla from the same film. He also looks cool next to a 6 inch Kong.
