Needed to upgrade my silver surfer. I still had my toybiz with magnets on display because the new surfer is crazy prices. So I purchased another retro iceman for 10 bucks. Figured he would work well with some new silver paint. Easy to do. Didn't even need primer, 2 light coats of the silver and he already looked great. Noticed the new SS had some black around the eyes so I added some. Finally, added magnets to the bottom of his feet so he could still use the toybiz magnet surfboard. Happy with the results.
**UPDATE - removed ears. Had to dremel down and remove ears. Soft sand and polish, repaint. Silver Surfer doesn't have ears ! ;-)

Plan and Prep part
Added open grip hand and you will see the magnet tape next to his left arm and near his left knee is the cut shape for his feet. My toybiz surfer nearby to keep me inspired.... how did i not notice the ears !

Great solution and looks. Attaching the little neodymium magnets are easy to do by drilling a small hole and super gluing.

Oh man, you are right. No ears! I guess I can dremel them down and sand to smooth. Shouldn't be too bad.

Magnet tape. Cut to shape of boot and glued on. Pic #2 the strip under his left arm is magnet tape. you can see cut out shape there too near left knee. The magnets are enough to make posing on the board easy. But he can't do like upside down. They aren't as strong as the little circle magnets that are in the toybiz boots. I may end up drilling holes and getting those little circle magnets.
