“KILL LUKE SKYWALKER” Mara Jade is one of my favourite expanded universe characters of the old true canon. I really hope we get someform of her in comics or series or something but for now the original al Thrawn Trilogy in my own personal opinion is my preferred VI VII IX trilogy.

Mara was made from the 2 figures of her with articulation beyond 5poa like her original figure from the power of the force line and the hair from a Dark Phoenix. I had been wanting to do this for a while as I had my two Mara’s with aspects I preferred from each one. So today I just used some hot water, popped off the wrists, legs, ankles, torso and hair off each one, shortened the black costumes torso, dremmeled a hole in it to attach to the purple waist, cut the knee pads off the black one and stuck on the purples after removing her knee pads and sanding down the area, added Phoenix’s hair piece and stick it tight, cut the pins out of the black hands and stuck them into the tan ones to attach to the black arms, cut the purples legs at the shin/ ankle dremmeld a hole inside both parts and cut out the black shoe (which had far too small feet) and inserted between them to make ankle articulation. Lastly using a knife and heat I melted some of the plastic loose on the ankle joint to smooth over the black hinge part to make smooth and flush. I’ve never done an ankle surgery like this and in this small scale before but plan to do for a few more customs and might later go over with miliput. Then I painted the black parts with citidel black base and went over with a purple mixed with a blue and then silver on the knee pads. I also ended up donating the lightsaber holder part from the black series figures belt to the finished figure. She also borrows Padme’s cloak when needed for dramatic effect and the Hood from the comic pack purple one.

This was a quick day project to make a definitive Mara for me based on her Heir to the Empire design and other sources.
