Make sure it’s acrylics I use model color by Vallejo….also I do a light coat then a second light coat of paint that usually does the trick….
I also seal the paint on the figure with a thin light coat of matte-modpodge….
Hope this helps!
So for sculpting with Greenstuff I use my Exacto knife and toothpicks to sculpt details…. Keep a cup of water handy to dip your tools in because Greenstuff can be tricky and sticky….lol and won’t stick to the wet tools.
As for the Tramer mask I just sculpt the forehead a little taller so I could get the hair line right when I sculpted it…..I then repainted it completely once I sculpted the hair on it….. it’s all about the painted eyebrows and hair and hairline if you get those right and it will look just right
I like the amount of detail I can get out of the sculpt especially when used in layers, and that it doesn’t require any type of heat or baking.
If you aren’t used to using green stuff there are many tutorials on YouTube… I watched quite a few prior to using it myself.
Also I forgot to mention with this figure I removed the Ben Trammer hair and sculpted the forehead to be a little taller then the original trammer head sculpt….then after it dried I put the shaved down hair back on and then sculpted the hair slicked back…..remember to always wet your sculpting tools as you work with the green stuff as it tends to stick to the tools and fingers, I use a lot of toothpicks lol
Can’t wait to see your figure!
Your awesome custom lit a fire under my ass to get mine done. I had the H2 body and head sculpt sitting on my shelf for 2 months lol.
I also started on my H5 head and I decided I am also going to do a Jamie Lloyd for H-4 as well.
I Started working on Halloween 5 (Big neck) Myers yesterday.
