Here's a character that has been mysteriously absent (to my way of thinking) from the Marvel Legends line.

Phyla-Vell currently holds the title of Quasar so I'm not too sure what to call old Wendell Vaughn here. We had assumed it wouldn't be a problem as Annihilus pretty much did him in, but he's popped back from beyond in recent issues of Nova and this is the version I've done here.

Wendell's body is gone and he exists as pure Quantum energy. So yeah, he's all glowy and doesn't have his wrist bands any more.

I tried to get this effect (which mostly manifest in his hands and feet) by using the recent Human Torch figure. His head is SOTA Ken with some modifications to calm those eyebrows down. His cape is my usual super hardened papier-mache.

I tried to use drybrushing to fade his costume into the transparent areas. I also drybrushed the whole thing with gold to give him a different feeling from the rest of my customs. I purposefully kept his colours muted as I like the idea of him being a ghostly figure. I also lightly speckled some of his areas with glitter. I tried to keep this low key as well so as to not turn him into a tackfest.
