DESCRIPTION:
This is Luke Skywalker's appearance from the "Shadows of the Empire" multimedia project. A story that bridges the gap between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, Shadows of the Empire was the franchise's first multimedia project, spanning a novel, game, comic series and toy line. This outfit is also one Luke wears at the end of "The Thrawn Trilogy: The Last Command"'s comic adaptation, the rooftop Coruscant scene with Mara Jade, where he hands her his father's lightsaber.

RECIPE:
The recipe for this kitbash is rather simple. The body and lightsaber are the 2020 Luke Endor Black Series figure, while the head and sleeveless vest come from the Luke Yavin Ceremony Black Series. A simple custom, but effective at evoking the look from Shadows of the Empire.


I posted this to the Black Series and EU subreddits (u/ThePhantomArcher) a while ago, so maybe you've seen it already. Figured I should share it on here as well!

P.S. For all the EU dorks like myself who will probably notice this, Luke's hand has the black glove here, despite it meant to be a figure of the character before he puts on the glove in ROTJ. I'm aware of this flaw in continuity with the figure, I'll be replacing his right hand with a flesh colored one from a Bespin Luke Black Series when it finally comes in the mail.
