Phoenix is a concept I've been sick of for over ten years. They drug the story out for way too long in the 80s, and then it got redone to death by every writer that touched the concept after. And then What If had to play with it a bunch, and every future and alternate reality had to have a Phoenix of some kind. But then Avengers vs X-Men happened. And they actually put out an idea I liked. The Phoenix Five were an interesting concept, and something a little different. My love for it has faded over time, but I still really like all the designs. So, I was glad to finally get an opportunity to make the Emma Frost design. My favorite of the batch.

Feet were from Black Widow, recut into proper heels, and the head was a cast from Fantastic3D. First time buying from them, but their stuff is pretty good. Just added some sculpt to extend the hair a bit in the back. Sculpted up her full gold armor, shoulder pads, bands, top of her sleeves, and the thick lines on her legs and feet. We went with a material for the cape for the sake of maintaining mobility. Just a random cloth I happened to have around. Full repaint, and all done!
