Hi everyone. This is "L&L Horror Toys" from Argentina.
This time I introduce you to "Abe Sapien", a character from the Hellboy universe of the great Mike Mignola. Because the original figures of this line of "mezco" were very difficult to find in my country (and the few that could be found were inaccessible) I decided that I could make my own Hellboy figures. And now I have my own complete collection (which you can find in the works published in my profile). Thanks to a good friend lending me the original figure, I was able to carefully observe the amazing details of it and thus achieve the same finish. For the making of this figure I used loose pieces of WWE figures. I sculpted and modeled the legs and arms to achieve the unique scale of these figures.
I modeled the head, torso and feet. The vest and belt is made of eva foam, as well as the fins and gills that I made with smaller pieces flattened, thermoformed and painted to later embed them in the figure.
Finally, I painted everything with my own acetonic-based painting technique with details in acrylic and watercolors.
