I had this idea to try doing an Ancient Sith figure in the 1/6 scale and ended up having enough ideas to do two figures, this being the first one.

The old Expanded Universe lore, namely the comics, gave fans a look into the early Sith Lords. One of the interesting things I enjoyed about them was, unlike the more mainstream Sith who wear much more black, the EU early Sith Lords were much more colorful, regal and elegant looking. The art shows them looking more like Egyptian Pharaoh's compared to the darker Sith like Vader and Sidious, so that's what I was going for here.

The original body was an Ep. 1 Darth Maul. As you can see, the head was heavily repainted. I wanted to keep the tattoo idea, but make it less sinister and more colorful looking to match the EU style. The chest armor was from a 12 inch Pirates of the Carribean figure. I also added a 12 inch Barriss Offe cloak-I like how the purple went went the rest of the figure and gave it a regal look. Boots were from a 12 inch Jango Fett figure. Finally, I gave it a Kylo Ren lightsaber since in canon, his lightsaber is based on "ancient designs", so it fit.

The figure did keep the original Maul battle damage, so it can come undone at the waist.
