I guess I made this simply because...I really do not like what mattel has done with MOST of the figures in the origins line.
I hate every Skeletor they've released so far.
Every head sculpt looks like a cheap halloween mask...EXCEPT for that alt head that comes with the kronis 2 pack set.
I did make a quickie custom using that head as well and it looks 100% better.

When I saw the images of the 200x styled Skeletor I was like...nah no WAY.
So I felt compelled to take matters into my own hands and put together my own take on Skeletor.

I wanted something very menacing looking with a REAL hood.
Something else I've always wanted on a Skeletor is a REAL gem stone at the center of his crossbones.

One thing that has pretty much bothered me with EVERY Skeletor figure is that you can clearly see a blue neck under the hood and the hood was always too small or short looking. Skeletor has no neck. Just a floating skull over his torso. So I wanted absolutely no neck showing on mine at all. All I see is a skull in the hood and that's exactly what I wanted.
The hood looks freaking amazing on him. It's also very tattered and somewhat see through which adds to the creepy factor. A lot of posing options with a hood like this.

That gem really brings something special to his armor. It's mesmerizing

He has a couple of extra weapons stored on his belt. A dagger and an axe.
He also has a sword strap that goes under his armor to hold the sword on his back. The sword is not just tucked into the armor the way we did when we were kids.

All the purples and blues match up pretty dang good. He has a very dark appearance which is exactly how the overlord of evil should look.

Skeletor always had some sort of design on the front of his belt. In 200x it clearly looked like some sort of monster.
Well now mine CLEARLY has some sort of monster on his belt. A monstrous BIG belt buckle for Skeletors BIG ego. I see it as Demo-man.

New hands and feet. He can now hold his staff or sword aloft due to the vertical wrist hinge. Every sword holding character should have a hinge like this.

Oh, and that green smoke effect I made that fits inside his hood, hand or on the staff is just the icing on the cake.

This is without question the Skeletor that ALL of us want on our shelves.
He is a barbarian badass of evil. He-man would surely have a difficult time fighting THIS Skeletor.
