Getting the Oracle figure to represent Barbara Gordon for my Arkham collection was kind of a no brainer for me... It's one of the best Oracle figures period, it's far more representative of her role in the majority of the games, and I like visual variety on my shelf. However, it came in a 2 pack with a Batgirl figure as well. And while I knew I wanted to make use of it somehow, I was torn on how. Part of me wanted to do Batwoman. We know Kate Kane is active in the Arkham-verse (her phone message pretty clearly indicates she's active in the universe). But like... show aside, Kate doesn't really use Bruce's tech. It also felt off using a Batgirl figure as a base for Batwoman. But another Batgirl? That makes more sense to me. It always kinda nagged me that we never saw Cassandra in the Arkham series (In my mind, the series neatly fits in the No Mans Land era of storytelling) and it would make sense that if Cassandra became Batgirl, her outfit would likely be built from Barbara's. And so I set to work. I shaved a few areas down to subtly decrease her height as much as possible, 3d printed a new mask, belt, and lower legs and made my Arkham-style Cassandra. Specifically, the Belt is based on Arkham City Batman's belt for the bigger pouches, and the Helmet and Legs are made from Cassandra's Injustice mobile model for the more angular cowl and non-gogo boots (I expected to have to do a bunch of versions of the latter to get the joints right, but they fit on properly first try AND the joints function perfectly, I was so happy). So there you have it, my Arkham style Cassandra Cain. I doubt I'll do anything else like this (the Arkham style is just too detailed to do justice to characters that don't exist in the games) but fingers crossed we get some Gotham Knights appearances? ![]() |

For Kate, on top of generally needing to be more... adult in comparison to Babs (Batgirl isn't super young to be clear, but she has a very thin dancer's body which I don't think is appropriate for Kate, and it's hard to fix that given all the detail on Arkham Babs) I feel like would have either A. a more stripped down outfit she made on a decent budget, similar to Catwoman (or even the tv show), or B. Something much more like Arkham Knight: heavily militaristic, built to fight.
If I ever end up going down that road (I'm REALLY hoping we get a ton of cameos in GK that make this unnecessary), I think the latter is where I'd take Kate.
