One character I've been meaning to make for years is Morgan Le Fay. Her being an Avengers and Iron Man enemy meant I had to have her. I also just don't see Hasbro making her anytime soon, and after many long discussions with StarkResilient on how to approach her, I finally decided that the time to make her was now... While the recipe may seem lengthy, she was surprisingly quite easy to make.

Recipe:

Head: Angry Rogue (Pyro 2-pack)
Hair: Julia Carpenter Spider-Woman
Torso: Jean Grey as Marvel Girl
Arms and hands: Age of Apocalypse Jean Grey
Legs and feet: Peggy Carter
Bottom of skirt with skull belt: Walgreens Mystique
Necklace: Dazzler's chain with sculpt for the skull
Effect pieces: Retro Scarlet Witch

With Morgan, I decided to pull from a few difference sources when it came to her design, though I'd say her overall design mostly comes from "Iron Man" #209 (something I didn't realize until after she was completed!). I was originally planning to use a Shriek head and hair for a George Perez design, but I recalled some angry expressions she had in the "Doomquest" Iron Man storyline (which I am a huge fan of!), and knew that that was the look I wanted. It also helped that I don't have that Rogue from the 2-pack on display, so I wouldn't have to have two different characters sporting the same head sculpt. I recalled that I had a nice parted hair mold left over from the Julia Carpenter Spider-Woman figure that I used to make She-Venom, which fit the Rogue head seamlessly. I took it as a sign that I was on the right track.

I wanted to give Morgan those wrinkled sleeves, and when I looked over some female figure options, I realized that AoA Jean Grey was the way to go. I also liked how the bottoms of the sleeves had an angular look to them, which I thought really fit the character nicely. I had to trim off an extra ring on the pegs of the arms in order to get them to fit, but it seems to have worked well. I also Dremeled out the arm disc and sockets to reduce paint rub.

For the recent Prime Day sale, they had the Peggy/Cap 2-pack on sale for $21 and change, so I grabbed a few. I used some paintbrush restorer to remove the pantyhose lines on the backs of her legs. The legs then easily popped and swapped with the Marvel Girl legs.

I bought Mystique when she first came out during a Walgreens sale for $15 with plans to update the black suit she wore during her solo book. I still haven't gotten around to that, but I knew I had to use that skull belt and dress bottom for Morgan here.

Keeping with the skulls motif, I knew I had to get her a necklace to go with the belt. Since I couldn't think of a pre-existing necklace, I decided to make one. I used an X-acto knife to slice down the disco ball until it was a thin sliver, almost like a peg of sorts. I then sculpted a mini skull out of Milliput, drilled a hole in top when it dried, and slid in the glued chain's peg that I made. I then sealed it off with some UV cured resin and painted the new chain and skull belt a matching Vallejo gold.

I had to Dremel a deeper hole into the upper torso so it would fit better with the crotch piece. I also sculpted over a rectangular piece in the back of it that had been cut to keep the Jean Grey skirt from budging. Then I painted the dress a matching Vallejo green. I painted her hair and lips a matching purple, and her eyebrows black.

To top her off, I threw on the effect pieces from a fodder Retro Scarlet Witch. And now I own a figure of one of Marvel's greatest female villains!
