I wanted to make Cassie (Wonder Girl) using her earlier design, because most of the action figures of her you can buy have her TT2003 outfit and I like that one less. I find John Bryne's Cassie pretty good, design wise. She looks like a kid, she has a distinct silhouette with the big T shirt in combination with her skinny arms and legs. And using the gauntlet of atlas and winged sandals was a detail I liked from 90s Wonder Woman comics when they added another Wonderfam character (Artemis being the first one to use them in Messner-Loeb's run). I used a Spider Gwen doll as the base, and created a wire frame to support the apoxy that would be her T shirt and vest. I got it a little long and DID hinder her leg movement front and back on accident. To create her knee and elbow pads in a way such that she could still bend her limbs, I wrapped saran wrap around her limbs and crafted the knee/elbow bads on with apoxy, then took it off when it was dry. Then I used a little tiny bit of apoxy on the center of the knee joint to attach the already completed pad. That let her have kneepads that were bigger than her knee joint without making her legs immobile. The gauntlet of atlas and wings on the sandals are just apoxy. The goggles are from a Carrie Kelley Robin doll I got for another mod. The long hair in the back is from a fodder head, and the bangs are apoxie. ![]() |
