The in-game sprite for Magus looks way better than any of his art. So, while I tried to go by the official art for his overall design, I kept more to the sprite for the colors. I actually tried to do that with everyone. The biggest detail here being that the art always had a red cape, but in the game, his cape is purple. Anyway. Magus rocks! I think I only ever did the second fight with him once. Just to see what the ending was. In all the times I've ever played the game, I always make sure I recruit him, and he almost always becomes a mainstay on my team. I've also always loved unique, different weapons, and Magus was the first time I had ever seen a character with a scythe. And thus, my long running love of scythes was born. I used to play Dark Age of Camelot, and literally the only reason I ever played a Vale Walker (or whatever they were called) was because they were the only class that used a scythe.

Head was from a BossFight Elf with the hair sculpted on. Upper legs were from Ryu. Sculpted the torso armor, cape, gloves, bottom of the pants, and the boots. Scythe was a blade from Grim Reaper attached to a staff from BossFight, with some sculpt added. Full repaint, and all done!
