I have a bunch of HO scale (1/87) bits and pieces laying around and wanted to try working with them. It's always enjoyable to work with the smaller scale since you can fit more in the space.

The diorama started with the building being chose and then put on the wooden base, which was repainted grey to look like cement. After the glue dried, I added the street line, garbage can and other typical street "foilage". The cars were also added after giving them a damaged look to look more like they were actually in a car crash.

Following that, more detail was added to the building, such as the boarded up doors and more rooftop detail. The goal was to make it look more like the survivors had set up a lived in shelter. Finally, all the minifigures were added before everything was weathered and then sealed.
