Some years ago, I was asked about what comics I would write if I had the opportunity. I rattled off a few one shots, and a couple minis, but there was one big idea I suggested: Ultimate DC. Literally the same thing as the original Ultimate Marvel run. A modern retelling with stricter continuity and respecting character death. I did a breakdown on how I would approach Batman and Superman specifically, which included a type a "Clone Saga" for Superman. Lex Luthor being less a villain and more of a gray individual who just wants to be prepared. So, he clones Superman, creating Superboy, Bizarro, Nuclear Man, and Ultraman. Maybe even Power Girl. Nuclear Man would die and Ultraman would eventually be wrecked, but rebuilt as Cyborg Ultraman. I think Cyborg Superman is a bit much, so I like the idea that the Ultimate version of that is just called Ultraman. And here we are. Though a part of me does wish I went with his classic light blue design instead of a New 52 inspired suit.

Head was a cast from Rob.vonshoe on eBay. Sculpted the lower left leg and knee, the right arm, right side of the torso, emblem, and the entire cape. Belt was from Captain America. Full repaint, and all done!
