Anna Mercury (Independent Comics) Custom Action Figure
Haven't had the chance to pick up this awesome graphic novel yet, but seriously, how can anyone resist a boombastic red head, with a bootie fulla pistols to drop dead for? And dropping dead is what's going on to the people in her city. A mass suicide craze has the citizens of New Ataraxia paralyzed and our blazing bombshell is the only one who can swoop in to remedy the situation. The bulk of the hair came from a TeenTitans Starfire, with additional hair sculpted around the face. Replaced her hands with hands that could hold firearms and the guns came from a Heroes Noah Bennet fig. Sculpted pouches for the pistols at the back and used tiny rivets for the detail on her costume. Almost forgot, the boots were from a Mcfarlane Dawn figure, and the original sculpt work on it was so ornate, it really added to the crack of the whip for this look. Don't quite know the story well enough to comment on the bullet hanging off her chain. Guess sometimes it's better to have it when you need it, rather than needing one when there ain't one around. Survival logic insists luck favors the prepared. Certain contours on the figure were glossed to highlight the "matrix" appeal of her costume. Haven't seen many customs of this character yet, but this bombBlazing beauty is just getting warmed up. Her design, by Warren Ellis, is a high-octane blend of The Shadow meets Tomb Raider, with just the right amount of pain and punishment. Could definitely imagine creators like rateeg, Wings or Wanderer-X sinking their teeth into an Anna Mercury custom and just deliver a killer version! Thanks for checking her out, and hope she gets the Doc's drool of approval man! Please wait... |
