The Noid (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Hey, hey! New guy here. Love the Realm, you guys rock! This is my very first custom. Base fig is Bullseye with a little makeover. A couple of coats of Testors red. A little sculpt for the emblem and the little "ear" things. I figured I wanted to do some origial customs, so I'm going as old school as I can. Like, I said, this is my very first custom, so you guys lemme know how to improve, to be among the greats. All comments will be greatly appreciated. Thanks- dave Please wait... |

Great start, and welcome!
Here's one thing you might want to try on your next custom:
Instead of using sculpt to make symbols and painting them,
which is always tough, try decoupaging them:
1) Find a symbol you like on the net, then print it out to-size
(I used powerpoint, since I have it already and it has a built
in ruler, but any similar program will work). I print to ordinary
paper.
2) Cut out the symbol and gently apply a mixture of elmer's
white glue and water, until the paper is moist but not
tearing.
3) Very carefully dab the symbol onto the figure without
rubbing, as you don't want the ink to run. The paper
should fold right into any crevases and hold tight to
the body.
4) Lightly seal over the label with a clear nail polish.
5) When I'm done painting the figure I usually use Testors
dullcoate over the whole figure as well.
cheers.
