ok, I talked to l.roy, and I am a bit fuzzy on it, so bear with me.
the cloth is actually a plastic table cloth. instead of sewing, he cut a pattern, put scotch tape on the seams and used an iron to melt the pieces together. the hajib is in a few parts, the skirt, the shoulders, the sleeves, and the headdress. it can all be removed if so wished. hope that helps.
