. I have to be honest, I never heard of Tommy Monaghan, so I had to "look him up" on the internet. When I saw him, I thought "Superman with shades and a cig" so I looked for Superman figures when I ran across "Marv" and thought this would be a perfect base. The 2 biggest problems I had was getting rid of all the bandages on the face (especially over the left eye) and making his "shades". I also added a collar to his trenchcoat by cutting up a Wrrarl cape I had and sculpted the little clips on his collar. I cut a piece of plastic, warmed it up to form it, then cooled it under running water and then dremmeled it to size to make his "shades. I then attached them to his head with 2 little screws behind the ears which allows them to be put up on his forehead to reveal his black eyes. I sculpted the front of his hair, a collar for his t-shirt and the "cig".
I'm extremely happy with the look of this custom, but I'm disappointed with the lack of articulation that comes with McFarlane toys.
