Planet Hulk (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:1601
Name:Planet Hulk
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:VariablePenguin
Date Added:January 19, 2007
Base Figure:Marvel Legends Planet Hulk
Height:8.00 inches
This is how the Hulk appears in the story arc "Planet Hulk". Cast from Earth by the Illuminati (Marvel's best and brightest heroes), he lands on a planet where his only choice is fight or die.

I sculpted the armour on his left arm. I made sandals using Mr. Sinister cape pieces and sculpting. I made his skirt from foamie strips that I painted for a weathered leather look. His mace is made from an acrylic ball covered in Apoxie, a dowel wrapped in elastic and Apoxie accents and spikes. The blood and gore on the mace is a combination of Clear Red paint, a brown wash, and SFX makeup from Halloween. I also repainted the whole figure a better shade of green. The shield has a few spots where I added some clear red also.

Great job! What is teh foam you used on the skirt?
Yeah I saw an all Green one the other day too. Actually it's the only one I had ever seen. Is the all green variant?

Cool custom...I especially like the mace club. I couldn't figure out why they did not package something just like it with the original figure. I was also disappointed in the cheap attempt Hasbro made at the simulated armoured left arm. I have been thinking for about a week that it would have been better had they just left it green as well and what do you know, I found a variant one today that was all green, which is nice because Hulk looks like he should when you take the armour off. Cool sandals...Nice work!

Thanks all.
I really like his articulation too, Kyle. I was screwing around and gave him a 12" Stormtrooper's blaster and it fit perfectly in his hand.

NICE!! looks good VP. I can't beleive its 2007 and we still need to make just little mods to make these characters the way they should be..lol.. I guess they can ALWAYS be better though, YOU NAILED IT!!! I love that hulk body by the way. I'm working with him right now. He is suprisingly articulate.

In my book you can't go wrong with a Hulk Custom. Nice job. The only thing I would have done different....Well he's whacking people with his mace, you would think he would get a little blood on himself..just a little spray here and there....mmmm Blood.

Or he could just rip off his skirt and parade around in his speedos, horrifying his opponents into a coma.

Forget the mace, he should use a femur bone with someone's head stuck on it.

Very nice. Did you tone down the gore on the mace or is that the lighting?
