So my sister had a superman that she bought for the Clark Kent in some two pack for a project she did. Being firmly against Superman as a super hero I immediately figured I'd have no problem making him into someone else, you know seeing as I really didn't care for the figure?

Anyway he sat there for weeks with his cape torn off and his symbol sanded off... and nothing, I just couldn't think of anything, and then it hit me like a mac truck! I had a disasembled T-800 from the Terminator Salvation toy line. I started sculpting in the pieces of terminator into the musculature of Superman and it looked great. I added some sculpted pants and a torn shirt. Various fodder pieces went into his gattling gun and the harness he's wearing.

The paint was actually pain staking as simple as he looks. I had to mix all sorts of tans and browns I had to get a remotely flesh looking color, I suck at painting skin tones. The metal was a fun to do, I learned how to paint black, then do a dry brushing of silver to make it look nice and warn down.

Really this figure was about a month in the making and I'm going to have to take the originally cancled body off of my trades list. I finally just buckled down and finished him, and I have to admit it... I'm proud.

Thanks for the info. I was taking a second look at the figure, and noticed your use of fabric and sculpted fabric on the figure. Nicley done!

The chain gun was one of those basic dollar store ones a lot of people seem to find on here, I had to cut it apart and resculpt a little bit of it to make the grip in front rather than back. The piece on his arm that is held to his fore arm is a clip on armor piece from an old Beetle Borg toy. The grenade belt itself was from a Big Lots soldier pack, and the back pack game from a very old GI Joe that I'd lost. I simply heated up the belt so that it was malleable and pushed it into the gattling gun, then cheaply sculpted it tight onto the back pack.
Hope that helps if you ever want to try making a similar one or looking for the parts.

Wow! This guys really come a long way from that WiP shot you showed me last month. Great work. I'd maybe add a dark wash and/or light-color dry brush to bring out detail on your figure, but that's all up to personal preference. I'm loving that grenade-chain gun backpack - what did those parts come from?
