Ever since I first saw the Bane trailer from Arkham Asylum back in the spring I knew I had to do a custom of it. I just didn't have any idea it would take me this long to complete it. After finally settling on a Scorpion/Venom upper body and Neca Streetfighter Ken legs, and the new Juggernaut head. I went to work creating the rest of the figure. The hands came from a Savage Dragon figure. The back pack was made up of a ML2 Nick Fury rocket pack and various other fodder pieces, some of which kind of look like old GI Joe packs, but I'm not sure. I sculpted the mask, neck harnass, the wrist and ankle shackles as well as part of the belt. I sculpted skin around the back pack to make it look like it was roughly surgically attached to his body rather than just being strapped to him. I don't have the game yet, but from what I can tell, the Joker is the one that set up Bane like this so it just seemed to be more Joker-ish to have the back pack attached to him. The small hoses are various fodder pieces, the large hoses are from an Omega Red figure. And I had my greatest "Eureka" moment since I started customizing. While working on the figure, in the back of my mind the whole time I was worried about the hoses being to stiff to allow proper articulation and movement. And I was right. I attached one and tried to move the figure around and the hose either wouldn't stay in, or it severely limited the movement of the figure. Then....EUREKA! Remove the inner wire from the hoses to make them more flexible. DUH! It might not seem like a big deal now, but man was I relieved when I figured that out. The hose ports are made from some jewewlry pieces I got at Hobby Lobby that were glued in and then I sculpted skin around them. I wanted the skin to look dirty and dingy since Arkham probably isn't one of the cleanest places to be in. So I started with a light skin tone base, then a darker wash, then a little lighter drybrush and finally a wash to make the figure look dirty so this wash was a little more random. I then added some various straps that I think came from a McFarlane Clown figure (one of the newer ones where he's strapped to a cart.) That's it, hope you enjoy it.

Hey, thanks everyone. This is actually closing in on Jimbo Da Mighty Lobster for favorite customs I've made. And an Arkham Asylum version of Killer Croc is next in line. I've already got it planned, just a matter of getting the parts and then getting my lazy @$$ around to making it

No word other than "perfect' can describe this figure. If you ever make an Arkham Asylum Killer Croc, you can name your price.

You did an awesome job. I thought about making a custom of this version of Bane but it seem too daunting a task for me. In hindsight I am glad I didn't because it would not look half as good as yours.

Excellent execution all around! I guess I still feel that Bane's original comic book look is superior at the end of the day, but this is still a neat variation of the character. All those cables are just begging to be severed by a batarang though . . .
