Base Figure:LCBH Judge Dread / ML Punisher
Height:6.00 inches
Judge, jury, and executioner, Judge Dread polices the cyperpunk-esk MegaCity in the British 2000 AD comic series. An authoritarian bad-bum, Dread's law is the only law.

Recipe:
-LCBH Judge Dread (upper torso, modified, lower legs)
-ML Punisher (pelvis, upper legs)
-ML Xorn (biceps)
-ML Longshot (elbows and forearms pegs before the gloves)
-Thick Elastic material (articulates both shoulder pads, allowing a full range of movement)

A classics mod for the LCBH Judge Dread, but with a twist. I removed the bulky back-waist holster from the original figure, and spliced part of the holster into a continuous belt. The figure looks much more trim, and keeps his left boot holster in the process.

I part-swapped out the upper legs/pelvis biceps and resculpted the elbow joints so Dread gained some bulk like he has in the comics. I was bothered by the restrictive shoulder pads, so I dremmeled out the holes, and using both cape plastic and a thick slice of rubber band (the kind that comes binding vegetables) I jointed each shoulder pad to the shoulder with gel-type superglue. Each shoulder pad can rock back and forth, and and move up and down to accomodate a wider range of motion/poses. It's quite sturdy too. :)

I repainted the whole figure using Vallejo Acrylic paints. On all the gold sections, I repainted it a mixture of copper and gold Vallejo acrylic, with used both Citadel Sepia ink then Citadel Flesh Wash on it to increase definition. Added silver highlights to all metal areas (zippers, and white aspects of the eagle-flag). His uniform was painted black then two levels of magic blue/dark blue dry brush were added to bring out the sculpts definition.

Overall, I'm really happy with this version of Judge Dread. He certainly looks like 'Da Law now. :)

Thanks for the Praise! Citadel (warhammer 40K) washes over top of gold mixed with copper produce a really good Judge shoulder pad without looking too 'bling'.

I searched through all of the Dredd's here. As soon as I saw this I said this is the " One. " The paintjob makes the figure. I am going to do this to mine. Excellent work!
