Who is this strange new superhero with powers identical to Spider-Man’s?! The Scarlet Spider removes his mask to reveal that he is Ben Reilly, a clone of Peter Parker!

The Scarlet Spider comes with an alternate, unmasked head, his mask to hold in his hand and a bendy web line.

This figure is one of 6 that I'm going to be posting over the next few days. They are part of CustomCon 24, presented as a fake line of Spider-Man Origins figures. Each figure has an alternate head and accessories.

Recipe
Body: Parachute Spider-Man
Unmasked head: ML Longshot
Hands: Movie Mr. Fantastic
Ankle pouches: ML Longshot

I wanted the Parachute Spider-Man body for all the Spider-Man figures so I had to try and find a lot of these online. With some research, I found out that this body is used for Electro and Mr. Fantastic as well, so that opened up more options. I even had some of them in my fodder box! Lucky me!

I did need to replace the hands on each figure so that they could have the individual finger articulation.

Scarlet Spider was fairly straight forward: Some basic sculpting to the body to make the torn sweatshirt thing, and then some further sculpting to make the spider emblem. In the comic, the spider emblem is more vertical than the one on the figure, but I thought it was best to tilt it a bit so that the joint in the abdomen didn't interrupt the emblem too much.

His heads attach to the neck by magnets. His unmasked head is supposed to represent the time he took off his mask in front of Mary Jane (just to annoy her I think). He was a moody so and so.

Little details include sculpted eyes on his mask, a sculpted belt, and sculpted web shooters.

He also has a little sculpted mask to hold in his hand and a bendy web line made by twisting 3 bits of jewellery wire together.

so cool man. the last pic with ben's face is right on! I usually don't care about unmasked characters but that is comic accurate. good job. scarlet is my favorite character so I am a harsh critic on him!

Yay! Great to see you back. Couldn't wait to see the rest of your series so checked them out over at Fwoosh - incredible. Hope you charge big bucks for them as they sure are worth it.

I love this!!! I think you have a great figure here, the sculpting and paint are fantastic, and the likeness of the variant secret identity head is so spot on for a likeness to John Romita Jr's art from the time!!!!
