David Cannon started out his villainous career as the Human Top, clashing with Giant-Man and the Wasp. Later, he redesigned his costume and renamed himself Whirlwind. When he wasn't fighting the Avengers as a member of the Masters of Evil, he was disguised as Janet 'the Wasp' Van Dyne's chauffeur.
This figure was in the planning stages for a long time, as I wanted to find a piece of plastic that would be suitable for a removable helmet. I finally found it as part of a cheap space laser-gun, which my son was happy to take off my hands! The upper body is from the Sinister 6 box set Kraven. I removed the facial hair and repainted. The forearms and hands are from Wonder Man. The lower body is Luke Cage. All the costume details are made from rubber bungee cord. Photos by Nara and myself.
