Not a custom figure but a custom vehicle for a custom figure..
One of the best parts of the Serpentor figure when I was growing up was that Air-Chariot he came with. Totally was one of my favorite toys. Well when I decided to do a Serpentor custom figure, I knew I would have to attempt to make his best accessory.
I had a couple of the legendary rider series vehicles in my fodder bins either through things I won or trades with my customizer brothers so I set to work on coming up with a Air-Chariot worthy of my Emperor..
So main parts are the Wonderman sky-cycle and the ML Hulkbuster platform glider. Using a shield from a WoW figure, I stuck that on the front and tried my best to sculpt a cobra on it.
I initially had another windshield from a fodder toy on it but I fudged up on it and had to try and figure out what to do.. So the clear plastic piece you see it actually some acrylic plastic I got at the hobby shop and heated and shaped to closely resemble the original piece.. it actually was a good thing since it actually is super clear and the original windshield had been scratched and yellowed due to age.
Everything else was fodder.
I did print out and glued on the cobra symbols on the little black rudders on the back and added a decal of a instrument panel and other gages.
I have now have a greater respect for those customizers that customize any sort of vehicle or robot.. Makes me think there is a different set of techniques needed than when you customize a organic figure..who knows it maybe the paint fumes talking..
