A family whom we are friends with went to the States for their vacation, and brought home the WWE Unlikely Allies two-figure pack (The Miz and Big Show), after I requested "something as basic as possible in the six-seven inch range). I was not too sure what to do with The Miz for a while: ideas included monkey Grayson in the gym, or a shirtless Two-Face to show more scarring. Eventually, after looking at "Bruce Wayne (Scars)" by Truwe 316 here on the realm, decided to do my version of that. The main problem was that the Miz's face looked a tad too boyish to be Batman, but what the heck.
Since I had a figure with a bare torso, I wouldn't have to worry about too much paint rub, and could showcase the scars better. I dremelled down the hair (hooray for my new grinding stone attachment heads! Thanks Dad)and sculpted a little over it. I cut away the knee pads, and painted over the lower body to look like the bottom half of the Batsuit, after priming it with Tamiya Grey. The scars were the hard part. I wanted to make some scarring that would look natural and not overdone. I used two-part epoxy putty to create the individaul scars, attached them with super glue and dremelled them down a little so they didn't look like flesh-coloured leeches (I apologise for that disturbing mental image).
It was difficult to paint onto the scar tissue, so I painted a skin-toned wash over the whole upper body, and touched up the scars from there. The first photograph has Alfred (from the Batman Hush line) posed by Batman, holding the components of the Batsuit that Bruce has removed.
