1st I'd like to thank the guys over at HISSTANK for giving me ideas to do this custom.

The head is an original 1985 Shipwreck with his hat pried off. I sculpted the beanie with Fixit-sculpt (Aves).

Torso and legs are from 2002 shipwreck (originally I'd wanted to use his head, but it was really too small and wasn't nearly as happy as he was in 1985).

Obviously there's a lot of fine detail paint-work in this guy. From the shoes to the uniform I tried to be as close to the Cinematic Character Steve Zissou as possible. Repaint for the head, repaint for the body, and the shoes took FOREVER.

Not a ton of sculpting - fixed the pants/crotch area - got rid of a lot of details that didn't fit the character, but that was mostly sanding and filing.
