Alex (A Clockwork Orange) (Criminal Macabre) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:2873
Name:Alex (A Clockwork Orange)
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Criminal Macabre
Creator:Aneses
Date Added:June 9, 2007
Base Figure:ML Longshot, Gambit
Height:6.00 inches
I wished to make this custom long time ago. I´m not very happy with it but I spend a lot of time in it and I didn't want to waste more time so here it is as finally became.
I used Longshot body and modified face to get Mcdowell´s smile. I modified the legs, boots and shirt with epoxy and used Gambit hands due Longshot´s hands have just 4 fingers.
I added the eyes in his sleeves the stick, coal-scuttle, suspenders and Moloko´s milk drink in his hand. Also I did the hat with a plastic grape I found.
Then I painted it.

you said it fred!!!
great alex custom indeed
but I think I just found the perfect face from a non comicbook action figure to customise to make him look more like malcolm mcdowell
I'll do a bit of experimentation and post a WIP and see what you all think

Sorry dude must have missed it - cool - I'm blind n stooopid
It really does work - I've made a swordcane for my Joker from a straw and the biggest darning needle I could find but a hair grip would work too
The trickiest part is finding a hollow straw thats big enough inside for the blade to fit
And if youre making Boba one I want one too
Please make me one - I'll sendyou a bunch of plastic grapes

Thanks again!
Bob, I did the derby with half a plastic/rubber decoration grape and a plastic card. I found the grape in the street but I think I can find another one in a chinese store so I´ll do one for you.
And Kyle, I realized your idea was the best, to use Longshot for this custom. Thanks for the suggestion.
I can´t wait to see yours. I know you are one of the best customizers I´ve ever seen so I´m sure it´ll be great and will overcome mine.

First of all the figure looks fantastic, but the funny thing is everytime I see anything Clockwork Orange related I always think of the old Simpsons Treehouse of Horro Episode where Bart dressed up as him

A very original idea. I know I saw this movie many years ago and I didn't really understand it, but I definitely recognize this character in his strange outfit.

Él significa que usted podría utilizar una paja hueco como el cuerpo principal del bastón. Entonces usted podría hacer que una espada de un pelo fija y se deslizaría dentro de la paja como un bastón de la espada. ¿usted entiende?

Basically
A sword stick or sword cane is a sword or similar hidden blade within a walking stick
Alex in the movie has a knife inside his walking stick
get a metal hair grip - the ones that most people make their wlverine claws from and make a handle for it out of sculpey or avis sculpt of miliput
Find a suitable sized straw for this blade to go into - and use that for the walking stick base -
if you can't find a suitable sized straw
there are some lollipops (after crunching off the candy) that will do just as good
Hope this helps - and if not - I'll make one for you and send

Thanks guys for your kind words. I´m so happy you like it.
Dedi, thanks too for your suggestions. Indeed the braces are painted rubber bands so you can change the position or get them down, and I forgot to say hat is removable and hair is resculpted.
I can´t translate this one of your suggestions: making a removable swordstick - use a hair grp with a hollow thin straw ?
Could you please tell me the same in other words? Thanks Samurai

Aewsome awesome awesome!!!!!
This is such a amazing figure.
I love it for the following reasons:
1. The custom is well done
2. Clockwork orange.....nuff said
3. Non comic book toy. Most the customs here are not movie related. Almost all my toys and customs are movie related. It's so great to see such a iconic movie being made into a toy insted of some comic book person I've never herd of.
Great job!!!!!

tho the pics are a tad on the blurry side (I aint one to talk) I think this is a very cool custom indeed and I love this formula - especially the plastic grape very ingenius
I can't really see what you did with the smile cos of the blurriness but I love the overall look although I think his eyelashed eye is a bit on the heavy side and looks like hes got an eyepath
The Moloko and cane accessories are very cool - but I'd like to offer a suggestion of making a removable swordstick - use a hair grp with a hollow thin straw ?
And make the braces from painted rubber bands
All in all this gets a big thumbs up from me
Muy bien hermano
