Richard Rider was a normal teen selected to join the Nova Corps, an intergalactic band of space cops. Rider had many adventures on Earth and throughout the cosmos before joining the New Warriors on his home planet. He eventually went back into space to fight the Annihilation Wave.
This is it, folks! This is probably my favourite figure. I completed it years ago, but kept tinkering with it to get it right. Originally, the base figure was Namor, with Morbius arms. It's been so long, I forget how I made the removable helmet (as you can see in the pics, the eye visors in the helmet are removable as well). The original colour scheme was blue and yellow.
About a year later, I decided to completely overhaul the figure. I changed the head with Mr. Fantastic, the boots with AOA Sabretooth, and the hands with a Street Fighter figure. And the colour from yellow to gold. I was happy with the figure, until a couple months later, when they changed his costume in the Annihilation comics. Arrrg! Anyway, I was too lazy to change the costume again, so I settled for repainting the blue to black, then dry-brushing with blue again. Since then, I've taken pictures, but haven't been happy with the lighting or whatever. After enough procrastinating, I've finally settled on this current batch of pics as 'good enough'. I hope you agree...
