Goro (Mortal Kombat) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:29207
Name:Goro
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Mortal Kombat
Creator:CAb00se
Date Added:April 30, 2011
Base Figure:Maestro Hulk
Height:9.00 inches
PS3 network has been down for a while, cant play the new Mortal Kombat online...so I got inspired and made Goro to pass the time. I used a ML Maestro Hulks as the base, added some height by extending and re-sculpting the lower torso and lower legs. used some bolts to extend and support the height. the feet are from ML Abomination, and the head is from HOM Hulk, pony tail cobbled together from ripclaw and other hair?? used Fixit for all sculpting (fingers, leg armor etc..)loin cloth from Maestro hulk, sculpted japanese symbol (power) on loin cloth.Foam sheet for shin guards, painted symbols(dragon king). Sash from some spawn fig. Spike/horns from Maestro hulk helmet, symbols on sash painted(imortal, dragon, warrior). He was pretty time consuming, but I'm pretty happy with how he turned out... Comments appreciated. Thanks for looking.

This is amazing, however I gotta agree with the nit pick, the green just has to go. Maybe you could mask the whole figure then use a spray paint to get in the hole?. Putting that aside though, the arms look great and it's really well put together, the paint aps are solid too (cept the hole )

That is by far the most impressive Goro custom I've ever seen. Phenomenal work! The only nit I have is that you can see some of the green plastic down inside the neck joint, but I imagine it'd be almost impossible to get a paint brush down in there anyway.

this is one fantastic Goro, he looks menacing and ready to take over any realms. I think this receipe would work well for Kintaro also, maybe with a different head. Still simply breathtaking.

WOW! Way to use your spare time!
REALLY like what you did here! I have a great way of extending this torso with a minimal amount of real work and beautiful results IMHO with no sculpting if you're interested PM me.

the arms were actually kind of a pain... basically remove the rubber under arm muscle(heat it up, like any other part)it then opens up the arm socket much wider so you can fit two shoulders. I filled the torso with milliput. I then put screws into the shoulder pegs (kinda like Jin Saotome's tutuorial to fix limbs). I then put them into the clay and used a little hot glue to keep them in place until the milliput cured fully. They even still move! Time consuming but it worked out pretty good. I wish I took some WIP pics for you to see. thanks for the comment too man !

WOW! This is so freaking cool! I love it! I've said this before, but never really done it. But I'm going to have to totally borrow your recipe, please!? Hey do you have any pics of the back, or detail pics to show how you easily combined the extra arms to the body?

thanks a lot. yeah he was pretty complicated, but I am really happy with how he turned out. believe it or not the sash says in japanese--imortal dragon warrior. the loin cloth says power and the shin armor says dragon king

Nice job man! This is wicked looking. I don't think I have the stones to even try something this complicated. Really well done.
