When I 1st saw the solicitations for the BD Aquaman, I knew what he was meant to become. The process for this figure was to cut of the fins from the back of both legs. Sculpted the tops of the boots and the abs. For the abs and white sleeves I first used a green fill to smooth the armour down, then green stuff for finishing. I wanted to make sure there was contrast between the armour and the red and white stripes. For some reason the more red and white stripes I painted the more odd it came out. I finally went with a thicker, block type stripes. Sanded of the "A" from the buckle and just a piece of plastic for the new silver buckle. Repainted the entire figure. The white star on the front is a foamy and I used the same foamy for the star on his back. My inspiration for this Cap A was John Cassaday's Cap A. I wanted Cap's upper armout to be detailed and predominate like his artwork. Happy up coming 4th of July to my U.S. neighbours to the south. This one is for you. I wanted to wait to show it but could not. Please choose what weapon Cap uses in the future, the Trident or his Shield. lol. Hope you like. ![]() |
