It's my spare Highlander body and 24 head- which is surprisingly passable at this scale!
The armor is just cut up cardboard, but with the superglue it's hard as a rock now- the Highlander body is super skinny once you take the cape off, so I thickened him up a bit with clay, and used real fabric for all the drapery around him. Now it looks better.
Also lengthened the sword so he could hold it like in the poster.

After that, it was tons of black wash and brown wash to make him dirty as hell, then a lot of red dry brushing and splatter!

I showed my girlfriend and she said 'Oh cool, Braveheart! What did you do-- add more blood to it?' lol she thought it was an actual William Wallace figure that was bought at a store! I guess that's the best compliment you could hope for when you think about it!
