So heres a project I've wanted to do for a long time but the cost of the base figures was too prohibitive in my mind to do them. Thankfully, a guy who found me and asked to do them, so I'm finally getting my chance. For the basis of them, the dude sent me pictures of fwooshes own Speedlee's turtle customs as a reference. He wanted them to be in the 2000s style, which was right up my alley anyways.

First up is Mike (he's my least favorite turtle, so I figured I'd just get him out of the way). He provided the figures, but unfortunately, he had previously tried to paint the bandannas in their respective colors with enamel paints. On the rubbery plastic of the bandannas, its never fully dried in most places, and in others it was extremely tacky. So I set about stripping that, and then gave them full repaints. Mikes black lining isn't showing up well in the pics, on top of him looking quite a few shades of green darker than he actually is, but I think he still looks good. Enjoy, more to come!

Nice work man. I have the Neca turtles too and would like to paint them as well. Can you do me a favor and tell me What paints you use and their colors? And any advise you have for me would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks guys. No neck mod or any structural alterations on them at all, just paint. Why would a neck mod be necessary? On the figures I worked on, they had possibly the best neck articulation I could imagine being on an action figure.

I had seen a set done and someone mentioned they shortened the length of the neck and the fact I have never seen them in person. I had to break down and purchase a set for myself, but they are b&w and will have to paint them totally. Great job again.

love the figs, I have been debating whether to buy a set or not. Did you have to do the neck mod and what other alterations to the fig? But can't wait to see the others, you did a perfect rendition. Also forgot to mention on raph, pics are awesome and colors spot on. Also agreed about the 3rd pic the swinging action is great.
