Well, in the midst of my minimate collecting and customizing, I realized that a "war zone" punisher was released, however they never made the Thomas Jane version of the punisher into a minimate (personally, and I know most fan-boys will want to lynch me for this, I liked the T.J. version better).

This one took me awhile with some trial-and-error to get figured out. I started with a basic black minimate body and I painted the skull on myself. It started white, then I dry brushed some black around the outside of it to make it look faded. I used some sleeved minimate arms to finish of the body, but I needed the perfect head. I literally tried dozens of heads to get the perfect look. I couldn't quite capture his face by painting it on, so I decided to use a ready-made face, but couldn't find a really good one. In the end, I found the wave 6 Blackhawk face had a great look to it. It was simple, but had the perfect "stare" to it with dark eyes and menacing eyebrows. I topped it off with the "Uncharted" Nathan Drake minimates hair.

It actually took 2 Nathan Drakes to get a pair of matching guns that I detailed with some silver accents to make the Punishers signature "Colts". I then added holsters from the series 9 punisher and another random minimate to get the left and right sides. That basically did it for the "T-shirt Punisher". Then I knew I needed him with his trench coat, so typically, I used the trench coat from the series 9 Punisher.

Then I thought, "I really want to make him as he appeared in the final showdown of the film!" I wanted to arm him heavily and dress him in his "Skull-painted" vest.

The vest itself came from the armor of a THOR minimate. I began by sanding down the ridges, then I used epoxy to smooth out the front and back and give them some detail. After adding a hole in the back that can carry a minimate assault rifle and then painting it black, I painted on the skull. This one was much more difficult than the one on the shirt. It was near impossible to paint in such small scale a skull with random "paint drips". I did my best and I think it came out okay. The last detail was to give him some weapons, so I put a few random guns in his hands and also gave him the minimate "Warpath" belt which held 2 knives in holsters on his back. I painted a silver buckle on it and "THE PUNISHER" was prepared for WAR!
