So I know I've already done one of these guys but I wanted to give it another try and I'm about a million times happier with this one. I followed the same recipe I used last time.

1.) Removed scorpion tail, filled hole with sculpty, painted to match the spider logo
2.) Removed tongue, repainted, shortened, and reattached
3.) Repainted eyes
4.) Fabricated webbing to be held in his right hand and coming out of his left arm, dug a space out of his forearm, and
attached webbing.
5.) Dipped the webbing and forearm into liquid rubber (which ended up looking amazing!)(his webbing actually looks like it's
actually coming from the symbiote)
6.) Just did some simple paint touches on the figure and finished =D

Let me know what you think about this second version of my second custom =p

looks great, spot on, on all accounts. when you use your liquid rubber, how long do you stir it? I stirred mine for a long time, but did not get the result I looked for, trying again but still learning.

I only stirred it for about 30 seconds (it was my first attempt at using it and it turned out great)

Also maybe its the brand you're using?

using plasti-dip, but it could be older, my hardware store does not always carry new stuff. I have some of the spray version also, but that is an ongoing battle also. But yours looks awesome and will make me try again.

Plasti-Dip is exactly the brand that I used. Are you making sure to do everything slowly then hanging the product for 30 mins? For every inch you take 5 seconds to submerge it and the same when removing, then when its out you have to hang it and not touch it for 30 seconds. I hang mine outside because of the smell.

I tried that, but when you are working on a 2 foot piece it is kinda hard, do you twirl yours up to make it easier to dip or go in with one end and push and pull? Maybe that has something to do with it. I just had some inconsistent thickness in sections.

When it came to the webbing, I shaped it so that I could fit the entire thing into the jar. As for a two foot object, I can understand why it would be really tough.

yeah if I ever figure out the method to perfection I will give a tutorial, so no one else has to deal with what I have.
